    Resume

This trek in the Vilcanota range reaches heights of over 5,000mt-16,400ft and has fabulous panoramic views of crystalline lakes and the nearby mountains. You will see typical Andean animals as llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. Meet local Quechua speaking people and learn about their religion (their relationship with the Apus - mountain spirits), customs and life in the Andes. This hike is quite a long and difficult one (7-8 hours a day), so we recommend that you prepare by doing shorter walks at altitude 3 days before starting the hike.
